How It All Started

Stacy Notley, President and CEO of THE MANNING GROUP, knows all too well how devastating debt and poor credit can be when it comes to trying to provide for you and your family. 

As a result of the Texas real estate collapse in the 80’s, he was left in a state of financial ruin. The virtually nonexistent credit and debt management industry left him with no other choice but to tackle the daunting task of re-establishing his finances on his own, in essence becoming his own first client. 

Using his financial education combined with hard work he successfully employed aggressive tactics that enabled him to re-establish his credit and become debt free within one year.

Having gone through the process of repairing his credit and freeing himself from debt on his own, Stacy’s knowledge base is rooted in real-world experience, giving him the unique ability to sympathize with those who are trying to survive under the heavy burden of debt and the effects that a poor credit score imposes.

Our Approach to Credit and Debt Management

Credit problems are sometimes unavoidable.  Life events, such as job loss, economic downturns, illness, identity theft, accidents, and other circumstances, some of which are uncontrollable, can have a devastating effect.

We know that there’s no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” approach.  The “free” quick-fix ads you may have seen simply aren’t real.  To achieve the best and long-lasting results, it takes a concerted effort and an individualized plan.  

We do not address just the “low-hanging fruit” of negative items on a credit report such as collections, charge-offs, late payments, etc.  We do an exhaustive review of your tri-bureau credit report to identify every single item to be aggressively and persistently pursued, layer by layer.

We believe in personal service.  We have a group of dedicated team members who familiarize themselves with your situation and your needs.  We do not have a call centre – when you call with questions about the progress of your plan you will speak directly with one of the team members.

We believe in education.  Our Comedy Credit Clinic is a light-hearted look at some serious issues such as strategies for lowering interest rates, how to simultaneously reduce debt and create wealth, how to negotiate with creditors and more.  Stacy’s book, the critically acclaimed “Credit Solutions”, will give you the roadmap to establishing, re-establishing, and maintaining your person credit.

We know that credit problems are not created overnight and only the steadfast implementation of a comprehensive plan of action can remediate them.  Re-establishment of your credit and reduction of your debt load can take some time, and we will be with you every step of the way.

Stacy founded THE MANNING GROUP in 1983 and has, over the last 30-plus years, helped thousands of individuals to restore their credit and re-establish their financial stability.  Stacy “has been there”, having been left in a state of financial ruin with the Texas real estate crash of the 80’s and fully understands the implications of a poor credit score and debt load, and how to resolve them.

In addition to his ongoing work with clients, Stacy (also known as “The Credit Guy”) devotes himself to educating clients  in all aspects of credit and debt management.

Justino De la Rosa, II (Tino)
Director of Operations

Tino has been in credit and debt management services for nearly two decades.  As Director of Operations, he handles all aspects of the business, from client relations and financial services, to resolving credit issues and complex debt settlement negotiations.

Tino is dedicated to client satisfaction and understands that “one size does not fit all” when it comes to credit issues. He thinks well under pressure, works well under pressure and is well-respected by both his clients and his peers.

Jeremy Kerker
Director of Finance

Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and has been with THE MANNING GROUP for ten years as Director of Finance. He has assisted thousands of clients with their most personal financial issues. 

Jeremy is highly skilled in corresponding with the major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) on behalf of his clients. Along with his expert financial skills, Jeremy helps individuals increase, protect, and maintain their credit rating and FICO Scores.

Lauren Silverstein has been with THE MANNING GROUP for over five years.  As Office Manager, she is dedicated to making certain our clients are kept up to date on their progress.  Lauren, a graduate of Loyola University (Chicago), is married to Brian.  She is the proud mother of two children and is currently serving as PTA President.

Amy Costellow is the newest member of our team.  As Office Coordinator, she is responsible for managing the office workflow and ensuring that THE MANNING GROUP’s processes run smoothly.  Amy graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, is happily married to Richard, and has three adult children.
